Rep. Schroder to Donate Special Session Pay to Flood Victims

Baton Rouge, LA — Today, Representative John Schroder (R. Covington), announced his intention to donate his special session pay to victims of the 2016 August flood. Schroder recently announced his resignation from the legislature to run full time for Treasurer. His resignation does not take effect until the end of the special session.

Louisiana ranks second in the nation for the number of women killed as a result of domestic abuse. According to the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 51 women were killed in domestic violence incidents in the state in 2016.
